Big Sky Studios

A new address for production.

Across 187,000 sq. ft. in Winnipeg, Big Sky Studios brought a new film and television production campus into view. Its introduction needed to speak to the producers, studio executives and location teams who would consider making Manitoba their next place of work.

01 / The opportunity

The view from the production team.

Research began with the decisions behind a production’s arrival: the space, the operational requirements and the support available around it. Manitoba’s film industry and the campus’s offer shaped the positioning, giving national and international audiences a clear introduction to the facility.

The narrative balanced the scale of the campus with the practical information needed to evaluate it. Big Sky’s identity would carry the ambition; its communications would make the opportunity clear.

02 / The system

From the first enquiry to arrival.

Typography, colour, messaging and photography direction gave the studio a consistent public presence. A sales brochure brought the facility’s story and practical information together, while signage carried the identity into the campus.

The same character met a production team on paper and on site, connecting the introduction with the place itself.
